CONTRACT CONDITIONS FOR MAKEUP SERVICES

Client service agreement

 

CONTRACT

A service agreement will be emailed or handed for client to initial and sign before booking services for a particular session.

BOOKINGS

To secure a date for special occasions, photo-shoots or weddings, a signed contract is required with a 20% deposit due at the time of signing. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Please be advised, dates and scheduled makeup times will only be reserved when a signed contract and deposit are received.

Should an assistant be required, this will be charged at an additional rate of $120 per person that they are required to do makeup for. This fee covers the cost of hiring another makeup artist.

BOOKING TIMES

A start and end time will be agreed by client and KM Makeup. Each makeup requires a certain length of time to be finished, the usual timeframe is approximately 1 hour per person. When reserving your date, book accordingly. Any additional makeup needs outside contract will only be performed at the discretion of the makeup artist. All persons involved in makeup appointments need to be available at the scheduled time of said appointment in order to not break the contract. All makeup for more than one person must be at the same location and consecutive times (no gaps in between).

Early morning fees: A $50 fee will be charged for booked appointment times before 8:00am.

DOUBLE BOOKING CLAUSE

Due to potential scheduling conflicts, if prior bookings change of time and or locations and it causes tardiness or inability to perform services for your booking we adhere to the FCFS (The first to have come is the first to be served) policy whereby the requests of clients are attended to in the order that they reserve their services, without other biases or preferences. You will be provided with the services of 1 makeup artists if Kathryn cannot personally provide you with services for your event. Kathryn’s (Makeup Artist) obligation to give services hereunder is subject to the unavailability of the Artist as a result of sickness, accidents, acts of God and other reasons beyond the Artist’s control.

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED

Makeup will be completed to client's satisfaction, but is not to exceed allotted makeup time. Ample time is given for each makeup upon booking. Acceptance of completed makeup application by client is acknowledgement by client that makeup is done to his/her satisfaction.

BOOKINGS

To secure a date for a bridal trial, payment is required on the trial date.

To secure a date for special occasions, photo-shoots or weddings, a signed contract is required with a deposit due at the time of signing. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Please be advised, dates and scheduled makeup times will only be reserved when a signed contract (contract attached in a reply email, or a reply email with times, venue and rough listing of scheduled makeup times will be deemed a signed contract) and deposit is received.

If your makeup booking is for 5 or more people and there is a need for an assistant. Assistant will be charge at an additional rate to cover their makeup fees.

 

 

PREVIEW MAKEUP

A preview makeup (consultation) is available for services that do not include one. The additional preview makeup service is limited to 2 hours. This is a separate fee and is due when the preview service is rendered. Please call at least one day in advance to reschedule a preview makeup should you not be able to attend. KM Makeup reserves the right to terminate this contract for any non-compliance of terms, contract will become void and all monies given are non-refundable. This booking arrangement cannot be changed after the artist/s arrives for the appointment.  Appointments cancelled or changed within 60 days of wedding day will not be eligible for a refund on deposits.

CANCELLATION POLICY

KM Makeup reserves the right to terminate this contract for any non-compliance of terms, contract will become void and all monies given are non-refundable. This booking arrangement cannot be changed after the artist/s arrives for the appointment.  Appointments cancelled or changed within 60 days of wedding day will not be eligible for a refund on deposits. If the makeup artist cancels at any time or be unable to perform her duties for any reason and not be able to find a replacement makeup artist, the deposit paid will be fully refunded within two weeks. Client agrees that the refund of 100% of the deposit is the only liability to KM Makeup and any and all of its owners, employees and agents.

SERVICE LOCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

Location of service for the day-of-event will be at the discretion of the client, but there are certain requirements the makeup artist needs to complete the makeup. A “set up” table/work area needs to be made available for the makeup artist at said location. Working electrical outlets must also be made available for use by makeup artist. Ample lighting, whether by means of natural light or by lamps, is necessary for services to be performed properly. A high chair or bar stool is requested but not necessary. Please let KM Makeup know if a chair cannot be provided.

KM Makeup will not be held liable for any injuries that should arise while on location. Remember to where a button down shirt so you don't mess up your style while getting dressed.

TRAVEL FEE

A fee will be charged for locations outside of a 30 minute travel radius of Red Hill ACT. The amount will be determined at time of inquiry; this may be done through the use of Google maps.

AIRFARE AND ACCOMMODATION

All costs for travel to a booked event are to be paid by client. Costs may include, but not limited to: airfare, hotel, transportation and parking.

LIABILITY

All brushes, tools and makeup products are kept sanitary and are sanitized between every makeup application. Any skin condition should be reported by the client to the makeup artist prior to application and, if need be, a sample test of makeup may be performed on the skin to test reaction. Client(s) agree to release the makeup artist, KM Makeup by Kathryn McDonnell from liability for any skin complications due to allergic reactions.

PAYMENT

The final balance is due 3 days prior to the event via bank transfer as one payment, unless otherwise advised – no exceptions. The person(s) responsible for the entire balance of payment is the person(s) who has signed the booking contract. Acceptable forms of payment are: bank transfer if otherwise advised cash.
